Fit Coach Sincere Hogan’s Workout Using Kettlebells, Sledgehammers, Tires, & Bodyweight

September 26th, 2008
· Filed Under: Exercise Equipment · Podcasts · Workout Of The Day · Workouts · fat loss

Always consult a medical professional before starting a fitness program.

The following workout is designed to help you get hella strong, while
building quality lean muscle, burning fat, and increasing your strength
and power.

The coolest part about this workout is the equipment used is inexpensive,
easy to transport (so you can train anywhere), help train just about
every muscle of the body, and to tell the truth, makes you look and feel
like a true warrior or warrior goddess when you are doing it!

The workout is as follows:

Perform each station for 1 minute, with 1 minute of rest between each round
(intermediate and advanced level) or 2-3 minutes (beginner). Beginners may rest
1 minute between each station. Intermediates may rest 30sec - 1min. btwn ea. station.
advanced may rest 30 secs to no rest btwn stations. Perform this workout for 3 rounds.

Suggested Equipment Used In This Workout:

1. Gym Boss Interval Timer: Grab a Gym Boss timer at http://thegymbosstimer.com
2. 1 Kettlebell: http://lifelinekettlebells.com
3. 8/10/16# sledgehammer or pair of 6# Striking Mallots - Home Depot/Lowes/Local Hardware store
4. 1 Tire - Tire shop or salvage yard
5. A ton of underground workouts: http://newwarriorunderground.com

You can find more hardcore workouts like this, as well
as other kick— workouts that use kettlebells, sledgehammers, tires, sandbags,
& a lot more from my buddy Zach Evan-Esh at http://newwarriorunderground, or

“Don’t Eat Another Carb Until You Watch This Video!”

September 23rd, 2008
· Filed Under: Diet · fat loss · healthy eating

While recently attending my mentor Ryan Lee’s Bootcamp for fitness professionals, I had the honor of finally running into registered dietitian, Jayson Hunter. Jayson is a highly respected and trusted expert in the area of general and sports nutrition. In fact, I have used a few of his programs as well, especially when I need to get photoshoot ready for my modeling gigs.

However, I make sure I do what is needed to be done to answer your hard-hitting questions, you email, ask, or blog to me. I know the media continues to confuse us, in regards to “Carbs,” by stating they are all good, bad, we should avoid them, we need them to survive, etc.

Thus, in my never ending quest to debunk big fat “loss’ lies, I asked the author of the no b.s. book, “The Carb Rotation Diet,” to just give me the facts about carbs, without and spin on the subject. Peep the following video, and see what nutrition expert, Jayson Hunter, had to say in regards to all of this Carb madness.

You can find out more about Jayson and his complete take on how carbs affect our fat loss programs, and how to cut through the marketing crapola, by hopping over to http://thecarbrotationdietbook.com.

What carbs do you simply avoid? Which can you simply “not live without?” Let me know in the comments section below. I would love to read your experiences.

The People’s Fit Coach TV: “Riding The Storm”

September 18th, 2008
· Filed Under: Motivation · Podcasts · blog

Sometimes we all face life’s little disasters. However, how you deal with those disaster define who you are.

My folks, friends, and myself from the Gulf Coast area are less than a week removed from dealing with Hurricane Ike.

However, many of us where riders of the storm, and survived. Together, with our combined energy, no storm is stronger than us. No matter how many of life’s little disasters come your way, keep pushing through.

I decided to keep pushing, by not succumbing to “disaster fatigue” and getting on with my life. I counted my blessings for myloved ones and myself, seeing we made it through the storm. I then boarded a plane, and continued on a pre-planned trip to Ryan Lee’s Bootcamp in Stamford.

9 & 14 Years Olds Truly Define The Warrior Spirit During Hurricane Ike

September 15th, 2008

After a very interesting and tumultuous 72 hours, I can boldly say my family and I survived hurricane ike. The interesting thing is, it was not the hurricane that worried me. My only fear was the safety and fear of my kiddos. However, they proved to be stronger warriors than I could ever anticipate. Nothing is more inspiring than a 9 and 14 year old, who defy fear of 80 mph winds by playing board games, and later sleeping through the storm as if nothing ever happened.

My kiddos kick major you-know-what! Now, how will you take on the ugly faces of adversity this week? Are you going to let little things like a crazy work schedule, new fall classes, a shaky relationship, a crazy mother-in-law, high gas prices, an unstable stock market, or Obama or Palin’s inexperience keep you from staying on track with your training program? Really? If so, just remember, not even a category 2 hurricane could break the spirit of two young children, so why should the “smaller” obstacles in life listed above, break yours.

How do you face obstacles that may interfere with your training program? Please share them in the comments section below.
