The People’s Fit Coach TV: “Riding The Storm”
September 18th, 2008 · Filed Under: Motivation · Podcasts · blog
Sometimes we all face life’s little disasters. However, how you deal with those disaster define who you are.
My folks, friends, and myself from the Gulf Coast area are less than a week removed from dealing with Hurricane Ike.
However, many of us where riders of the storm, and survived. Together, with our combined energy, no storm is stronger than us. No matter how many of life’s little disasters come your way, keep pushing through.
I decided to keep pushing, by not succumbing to “disaster fatigue” and getting on with my life. I counted my blessings for myloved ones and myself, seeing we made it through the storm. I then boarded a plane, and continued on a pre-planned trip to Ryan Lee’s Bootcamp in Stamford.
I am kicking it with some of the best names in the fitness industry….learning, networking, contributing, and vibing. The energy here is electric and uplifting….just what I needed. I only hope to bring that energy, as well as new tools to help you all continue to achieve health and fitness levels beyond your imagination.
I will keep you updated, during my time here in Connecticut. In the meantime, let me know how you are weathering the storm of everyday life. Simply, share your thoughts and stories below, in the comment section.

No truer words have been spoken.
I’ve been struggling with marathon training these last couple of weeks and have just one more 20-mile run before the marathon itself. Granted this is a storm of my choosing, but it’s been a tough one I have allowed to threaten my peace of mind. Honestly, after watching your vid, I can’t wait to get out there tomorrow and knock it out.
Thank you!

Dede, I must quote my man Zach Evan-Esh on this one. go out there and “kill it.” You are one butt kickin’ mama. Thank you for supporting me. I definitely have your back. You will do well during your marathon. I don’t doubt that.

Sincere,
Your a straight talkin Man and I can appreciate that. Taking on the storm with a lowercase “s” is what it’s all about. It’s not if the storm will come but instead it’s “when” the storm will come. But when we really get down with it, we have to be like the old oak tree with deep roots. I’m glad you are here at the Ryan Lee Bootcamp Bro. You taught me some stuff the past few days. You are a blessing to me and your clients. Keep on keepin on and tell your homies down in Texas “don’t you worry…bout no thing…because every little thing..gonna be alright!!
Thanks again and let’s keep the flow.

Sincere,
Great video post man and you hit the nail on the head with your message…
It was great meeting you at Ryan Lee’s event and keep spreading the good word and fighting the good fight.
A quote I came across the other day that I wanted to share:
“You want it, you take it, you pay the price.” -Bruce Springsteen
Keep it up man and train with purpose,

Thanks Kyle. It was great to finally meet you in person, after being learning so much from you over the years from your http://askthefitnessexpert.com site, and others.
That is an excellent quote from one my favorite artists and humanitarians. That very quote goes right along with one of the thoughts expressed to all of us, from fitness expert Dax Moy, this past weekend.
Once a person has made a definite “decision,” the must be willing to pay the price, in order to see that decision become a reality, no matter what. Whether it be losing 20 lbs, lower their cholesterol, running a marathon, being a great parent, or being debt free for life, it all comes down to paying the price to make it happen, in spite of all obstacles.
I look forward to connecting and hearing more from you brutha!
